Old School Booking was brought to life by the two die hard metal fanatics Annaconda ChickenKiller and Proxy Mortales. Both being fed up with the huge amount of pompous black metal, pretentious power metal and retarded stuff like so called Nu Metal constantly polluting the metal scene. Disappointed, discontent and pissed off, they decided to take the metal in their own hands. And that’s how Old School Booking saw the dark of night! Their mission is to draw the attention towards bands that can be described as “old school”. This doesn’t mean that the bands necessarily must include members with liver spots, Alzheimer and Parkinson. Nope! Youngsters can also pass the test as long as they’ve got… what it takes! And the whole essence here is of course the music! Music that will remind you about why you, once upon a time, totally exhausted and euphoric gave your soul to metal! During the summer of 2009 Old School Booking arranged concerts with Pentagram from Chile, Whiplash and Agent Steel from the USA and now they are just about to kick-start their own festival suitably called Raise the Dead. This festival will make you shit your pants while you bang your head off! Sodom, Angel Witch, Asphyx and Manilla Road! Alright! ‘Nuff said… Into The Pit!

Etter å ha sett og hørt seg grenseløst lei på pompøs og teatralsk Black metal, svulstig Power metal og reinspikka idioti, som noen også kaller for “Nu-Metal”, skjønte Proxy Mortales og Annaconda Chickenkiller at noe måtte gjøres. Noen måtte stoppe forfallet, noen måtte ta ansvar, noen måtte rette opp feilene. Old School Booking var et faktum. Nå skal ekte metal tilbake på plakaten! Et band som defineres som “old school” behøver ikke å bestå av geriatriske, pleietrengende rosiner med Alzheimer og Parkinsons. Et nystarta band med kvisete tenåringer kan også kvalifiseres så lenge de har… what it takes! Her er det nemlig utelukkende musikken som er viktig. Musikk som får deg til å huske hvorfor du i utgangspunket, overbegeistret og totalt utmattet overga deg selv til metallens makt. Vi snakker om musikk med sjel, attitude og attack! No Bullshit! Vi snakker om Old School Metal. I løpet av sommeren 2009 arrangerte Old School Booking konserter med Pentagram fra Chile, Whiplash og Agent Steel fra USA og nå er det straks klart for deres nystartede festival som har fått det passende navnet Raise The Dead. Festivalens program inkluderer band som Sodom, Angel Witch og Manilla Road så nå er det bare en ting å gjøre folkens – Møt opp, drekk som ei øse og bang skallen i filler!
